A MODS container home starts out as new or lightly used steel containers that are then modified and outfitted in our dedicated factory. A majority of the work is done in the factory, including removal of side panels, vertical beams inserted, cutting openings for doors and windows, and insulation. Container homes require some type of concrete foundation to make sure they are secure. This can be a slab or poured basement. When the outfitted containers arrive on site, they are lifted by crane onto the foundation, then embedded and welded into place. The rest of the interior of the home is finished on-site.
